Community Involvement

Community Banner

We understand first-hand the essence of rallying community support and the positive, life-changing impact we have on the world around us. That’s why VFW members volunteer nearly 9 million hours nationally to community service projects annually, with volunteerism benefiting morale, education, the environment, health sciences and civic projects.

Locally the Troy VFW donates thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours a year in support of our local community. Here are just a few examples:

          • Local Boys and Gils Scouts
          • Local Youth Sports
          • Veterans Day Parade
          • Bradley R. Smith Memorial Scholarship Fund
          • Big Brothers Big Sisters
          • Local Churches
          • Local and National Charities
          • STEM Voyagers Program
          • High School, Middle School, and Scout Scholarships
